Last Thursday, I was attending the media gathering of Ciputra Golf, Club & Hotel Surabaya. I was invited by Mr. Hendra Linanda; he’s the Asst. Marcom Manager. Well, it was an appreciation for me as a blogger, so I attended the event with big enthusiasm.
It was a clear evening and I arrived at 5.30 pm. As you might know, Ciputra Golf is one of the biggest golf courses in Indonesia. This media gathering event aimed to introduce the new General Manager, Mr. Stephen R. Lomax to the public. Beside that, this event also promoted their great Villas as their complementary service other than golf course.
Mrs. Noer Cahyawati – the Family Club & Hotel Manager- gave me a warm welcome and briefly chat about the event. Mr. Steffanus guided me to walk into each type of Villa. In general, there’re two types of villa: corner and non corner. The corner ones are bigger units. There’re total 22 units of villa available for rent. Each villa interior is designed exclusively with modern touch.
Back to media gathering event. The Ciputra Golf staffs were very friendly, they wore bright and colorful outfit with paper hat. Actually, I wanted one. Huh…
As we were waiting for other guests to come, a trio played a fine acoustic performance on the main stage. Some challenging small games were also available, such as dart and mini golf. Some lucky guests won it. How about me? Like always, I kept photographing people around. These acrobatics crew were quite entertaining though 
The main event started when all the guests had come to the spot. MC called and introduced Mr. Stephen R. Lomax as the new General Manager (GM) of Ciputra Golf. He gave a speech to welcome all the guests. He speaks Indonesian pretty good. Mr. Lomax will bring new spirit to Ciputra Golf management.
In my opinion, Mr. Lomax is a nice person. He talked and mingled among the guest during the evening. I’ve a positive feeling that Mr. Lomax will bring Ciputra Golf to the next level in hospitality business.
I enjoyed the dining that night. They served several types of cuisine, from Asian to Western. Chinese to Italian. Vivi Vrucht and Tempura Tei also sponsored for the catering.
The best moment was the door prize announcement. MC randomly pick a business card from a fish bowl (we previously put our business card on the entrance). I was feeling lucky and I was right. I won a voucher to use Ciputra Family Club facility for free. Hiyeyyy.. 
Overall, it was a lovely night. The wind of change and new spirit of Ciputra Golf, Club & Hotel management built a close relationship with media as partners, including blog and website -as the new wave of marketing media. Thank you Ciputra Golf…

I enjoy reading your blog in indo, with your jokes, rather than english.
But doesnt mean your english is not so good tho – inggrisnya bagus cuman kalo nulisnya di Indo lebih komunikatif, interaktif and mbanyol.
