Specialty coffee with attitude. That’s what I feel from Blackbarn Coffee. Friendly owners & barista behind the bar, wrapped in a beautifully designed branding & interior.
When you get inside. A handsome La Marzocco Linea will get your attention. A sign that they’re serious with coffee brewing. Seconds after that, your eyes will linger around from corner to corner. The design is pretty hipster but stays humble.
The Cappuccino had a quite strong body with double ristretto shot. Most Indonesian usually love this kind of coffee. I heard they brew Blue Batak single origin coffee beans from Giyanti Coffee Roasters, Jakarta.
There were only a few choices of food like Soto Mie, Poffertjes and Samosa. We tried the Poffertjes. It’s like a mini Holland pancakes. It’s fluffy and quite pleasing with sugar dusting and ovomaltine dip. I prefer it to be a little bit thinner, near to bite-sized.
Blackbarn Coffee needs more food variety but overall the place was really nice and worth a visit for both serious and casual cofee drinkers.
